In this article, they say that Animal Planet recently attempted to gain more insight to whether mermaids exit or not. They aired its latest documentary special, "Mermaid: The Body Found", on Sunday as part of its Monster Week series and is strictly fictional account based on a scant facts. While the people at Animal Planet may have stretched the truth a bit on the one, the video " Mermaids: The Body Found" uses CGI images to give its viewers a preview of what a mermaid might look like. These mermaids do not resemble anything close to the Disney mermaid on the movie, "The Little Mermaid". It also informs on how mermaids reproduce. Two scientists go on to show the details of a supposed secret government investigation that claims to have proof of mermaid existence. They use clues such as a picture of a 'mermaid' taken by two boys with a camera phone in Washington State. They also found remains inside a shark in South Africa that reconstructed a mermaid. The result is not quite as attractive as the mythical creature depicted in Disney movies and in cartoons. The Animal Planet show proposes that a specific branch of our human ancestors at one point actually began living in the open sea. 'Mermaids' tried to give their claim some credibility by mentioning something known as "the Aquatic Ape Theory," which suggests that human evolution was influenced by a shore-dwelling phase. The Animal Planet show proposes that a specific branch of our human ancestors at one point actually began living in the open sea. Different cultural references over the years, the film's narrator asserts, "The seafaring Greeks described them as did the Vikings, as did the Chinese during their greatest period of maritime exploration. They are recorded in medieval manuscripts, and even into the 19th century. While most of the show is quite unbelievable, the most substantial evidence used in the documentary is said to be the photo taken from the Washington State boys, which contains images never seen before of a supposed mermaid washed up on the beach. The creature was reported alive. At first, nobody thought it was a mermaid, because it had lacked the long beautiful hair, flawless skin, and the sparkly lower torso.

Connection between brain freezes and migranes
In this article, they say that most people have likely experienced a brain freeze. Researchers did not really understand what causes it, until now. The previous studies found that migraine sufferers are actually a lot more likely to get a brain freeze. People without migraines do not get it as often. The researchers thought that they might share some kind of common cause. They have decided to
use a brain freeze to study up on migraines. Headaches that are like migraines are difficult to study because they are unpredictable. They are not able to research a whole migraine from start to finish in the lab. They can medication to induce the migraines, but those can also have side effects that interfere with the results. Brain freezes make this lab easy because it is easy to get a migraine and it is quick to end. They brought on brain freezes in the lab by having about thirteen healthy volunteers sip ice water through a straw, to hit right again the top of their mouth. They would raise their hands when they felt a familiar brain freeze come on, and then raised them again once it disappeared. The researchers monitored the blood flow through their brains using an ultrasound like process to the skull. The increased blood flow to the brain through a blood vessel, called an anterior cerebral artery, which is located in the middle of the brain behind the eyes. The pain disappears when the artery constricts reining in response to the increased flow. This blood vessel is a type of self-defense for the brain. The blood cannot be cleared as quickly as it is coming in during the brain freeze. It can raise the pressure inside the skull and induce the pain that way. The blood vessel constricts as the pressure and the temperature in the brain rise.

In this article, they say that they had to remove a 3 1/4 inch nail from this man's brain. It was lodged in the middle of his brain. He didn't even know about it. He had thought that the doctors were joking about it when they told him. While using a nail gun, above his head, it triggered the wrong way and went in his brain. He got rushed to the hospital by ambulance. They took X-rays right away. The X-rays had showed the nail lodged in his head. The 32 year old man asked them if it was a joke, that it was in there. The man's skull had stopped the nail from going farther into his brain. They said they removed the nail by putting two holes into him skull, on either side of the nail. Then the doctors pulled the nail out along with a piece of skull. The part of the skull that was removed for surgery was replaced with a titanium mesh. This surgery had taken two hours.
